During your stay in Queenstown you have plenty of time for optional activities during the day (Sun 22, Mon 23 & Tue 24 August). Queenstown has activities for both leisure and adventure seekers and is New Zealand's adventure capital and home to the world's first commercial Bungy jump site. Visitors to Queenstown looking for adventure and excitement will find that there are many activities on offer including skiing, snowboarding, rafting, jet boating and Heli skiing.

Queenstown also has many activities for visitors that have had too much excitement or are just looking for a relaxing holiday in one of the world's most beautiful places. How about a wine tour - Central Otago is New Zealand's fastest growing wine region and many of the regions wineries are only a short drive from Queenstown or if you really want to relax and feel pampered book a relaxing spa treatment. The options are endless!

Bungy

The Kawarau Bridge Bungy - home to the original 43-metre Bungy Jump. If you've heard of Bungy, you've heard of the Kawarau. The world's first and most infamous of leaps is still going strong, with tens of thousands Bungy jumping each year. Kawarau Bridge Bungy is also the only Bungy in Queenstown where you can choose to bob above the water, touch it, or be fully immersed.

Skippers Canyon Four Wheel Drive

Take a 4 Wheel Drive journey with a family that has lived and worked Skippers Canyon for 5 generations. The 120 year old Skippers Road is a recognised Heritage road, carved by hand over 20 years. Skiing

Defined by snow-capped peaks, a crystal clear lake and a massive influx of skiers and boarders from around the world, Queenstown in winter is a snow lover’s paradise complete with several ski areas, exuberant ski culture and all the activity of a vibrant, cosmopolitan resort town.

Coronet Peak, just 30 minutes from Queenstown, is the South Island’s most popular mountain resort. Facilities include high speed chairlifts, extensive trails, several eateries, heated deck where skiers and non-skiers enjoy the surroundings which include retail, rental and repair shops, Snowsports School and a licensed Skiwiland Crèche.

The Remarkables Ski Area, also 30 minutes from Queenstown, enjoys three sunny sheltered bowls framed by towering peaks, and is known for its friendly atmosphere and relaxed feel. It's a great place to learn to ski with easy access to learner runs by an easy to use chairlift. Facilities include 3 chairlifts, Ski School, Half Pipe, Tube Park, café and bar.

Dart River Wilderness Safari

Shotover Heli Rafting (river grade 3-5)
For something a little different why not combine a helicopter ride and river rafting? Experience the rugged beauty and unspoilt grandeur of the breathtaking scenery as you conquer this wild and untamed river. Tackle twelve rapids varying from grade 3 – 5 then raft through the darkness of the 180m Oxenbridge tunnel and then shoot the Cascade rapid to complete your trip.

Important! It is extremely important if you intend to raft the Shotover River Rafting you must be able to swim

Join a Nevis Snowmobile Adventure and drive your own snowmobile into this unique, rarely visited part of New Zealand. On this 1700m plateau you'll think you're on Top of the World!

Let the expert guides lead you on a journey like no other into this intriguing alpine environment. Nevis Snowmobile Adventures will show you remarkable 360 degree vistas of the southern South Island and explore with you this pristine snowfield flanked by mountain ranges and distant valleys. No special skills or fitness level is required to operate the snowmobiles. The flat to gently rolling terrain is ideal for novices. Squeeze the accelerator and you are mobile; squeeze the brake and you stop. Nevis Snowmobile Adventures depart from Queenstown Airport on a 12 minute exclusive helicopter flight over the Remarkables Mountains to land at their Base Camp on the Old Woman Range. Located just 20 minutes from Queenstown, the former gold mining town of Arrowtown is a living, historic holiday destination. Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds

Champagne Helicopter Flight to the Ledge

This trip is exclusive to Nover. Fly from Queenstown Airport the length of Frankton Arm and take in panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown.
